Application guidelines
This material is developed for both dye-based and pigmented inks. Image durability with dye-based inks will vary depending upon use and exposure to light and UV radiation. The use of pigmented inks will establish excellent indoor and outdoor longevity up to many months (dependent on exposure conditions).
After printing allow at least 4 hrs of drying to obtain the outdoor water resistance. The material will stick to any even and smooth surfaces which are dry and free of dirt, grease, silicon etc. except nonpolar surfaces like PE and PP. Before glueing it is recommended to check that the surface is appropriate for this aim and that it has been prepared (cleaned) professionally. When applying the film, the surface temperature should not be below 15 °C. The media can be used outdoor without lamination when printed. However, we recommend protecting its surface if it is subject to abrasion or any other mechanical influences, to dirt or humidity. When dye inks are used, we recommend to always laminate the film to improve the lightfastness and to protect it against smudging. The film can be removed by heating the surface of the film with a hot air gun. Then pull it off carefully.
